About

The work, and the person behind it

My path into this work wasn’t a straight line.

I studied biochemistry and nutrition before finding my way into marketing. After college, I landed in sales, realized almost immediately it wasn’t where I belonged, and spent my evenings teaching myself digital marketing instead. I earned my Pardot Specialist certification, changed careers, and haven’t really stopped learning since. It’s become something of a pattern: when I don’t understand something, I want to figure out how it works.

I spent several years in corporate marketing before moving into operations and consulting for founder-led businesses. Somewhere along the way, I became less interested in executing individual projects and more interested in the systems behind them—the processes, decisions, and relationships that make a business run well long after a project is finished.

One thing I’ve learned is that growing businesses rarely struggle because they lack good ideas. More often, they’re growing faster than their systems are. The vision is there. The product is there. What’s missing is the connective tissue: clear processes, shared knowledge, and enough structure for everyone to move in the same direction.

That’s the work I enjoy.

I like understanding how a business actually functions—not how it’s supposed to function. I spend time asking questions, observing how people work, and looking for the places where unnecessary friction has quietly become normal. From there, it’s about building practical systems that fit the business instead of asking the business to fit someone else’s framework.

Outside of work, I’m drawn to many of the same things I appreciate in the businesses I work with: craftsmanship, curiosity, and intention. I read constantly, travel whenever I can, learn languages, collect bones, and enjoy making things with my hands. Whether it’s a beautifully bound book, a thoughtfully designed space, or a well-run business, I’m interested in things that reveal the care behind their construction.

I started Odettique because I believe good systems should feel almost invisible. They create the space for people to do their best work—and for businesses to grow without losing what made them worth building in the first place.
